Helen Lee

Thank you to the cast of the Talk. As a mother of a student who had a real struggle through high school, taking sats, acts, he was admitted to colleges of his choosing. He was admitted on his own grades, scores on the sats and acts and merits of working extremely hard to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. He also worked part time in high school and college. He was diagnosed with auditory processing defect and a speech defect at an early age. With the assistance of special educators, speech therapists and the support of my husband and I, he is graduating this year from Utica College with a major inTheraputic Recreation Therapist Degree. We took out loans, used our retirement funds, because we we're in the gray zone where we could only get Pell grants.
