I went to the theaters to watch this with my girlfriend and both of us hated it. The script was awful and a lot of scenes were so awkward and quiet to the point where it was cringy. The entire cast of characters comes off as unlikeable for one reason or another. The movie didn’t spend enough time with Tessa struggling between Hardin and Noah and when she first kissed Hardin it kinda came off like she was someone who would sleep around a lot. Instead of showing the hardship in Tessa’s mind, or explaining anything, they cut to a random music montage. I’m pretty sure there were 6 montages? The antagonist, which is the girl who shows Tessa essential plot stuff, doesn’t get any explanation as to why she’s evil other than the elision that she’s jealous of Tessa, and that’s weak character development. Most of the side characters were underdeveloped. The two main characters both come off as unlikeable. The pacing for this movie was awfully fast and it ended on a sour and very sudden note. I would not recommend this movie to anyone unless you love throwing money away.
