As a mother who just went through a similar situation less than two months ago but in a hospital, I must say I did not like this movie. The beginning was the most emotional part for me. As the movie progressed it seem to get a little unrealistic to me. I know everyone handles grief and a tramatic event differently but it did not end very well in my opinion. Between the man leaving without much being said and the trial for the midwife the story line fell flat. I don't believe the movie needed to be two hours because the storyline started to diminish. I do however like the fact the man showed more emotions than the woman because when something like this happens the man tends to be overlooked.
As for all the parents who have lost a child whether right after birth or years after, I pray for your peace and emotional mindset.
