Absolute gem of a movie about an alternative lifestyle. Brilliantly acted by a cast led by Viggo Mortensen, who plays the father of 6 children who grow up at a compound in the middle of a Pacific Northwest forest. Far from "civilization" and all its' trappings, they live like survivalists, quoting Noam Chomsky and are (book) wise beyond their years. Their love for each other and their life style is put to the test when tragedy strikes. Well worth watching.
