SPOILER So, I’ve seen this movie twice ( could’ve been 3 times). The last time I watched it (recently) I was a bit surprised at the ending because I could’ve sworn that it ended differently. I somehow remembered this movie ending where the sister actually set her brother up to take “the fall?” For whatever sinister, obsessive reason she had with this Mirror that tore their family apart. When I realized that’s not actually how it ended, and that the sister and her brother were both victims of this Mirror all along, it made me appreciate the film even more. It’s no wonder why this film randomly popped up in my head, years after first seeing it. I had it all wrong all along! The brother Wasn’t crazy, the sister Wasn’t sinister, and the mirror Was actually evil! I would Definitely give this film another watch, maybe 2 more times.

There's much more detail I can put into my review but I'll just say I throughly enjoyed this version of Haunted mansion and have seen it several times already since it's arrival on Disney plus. The film also made me want to revisit Eddie Murphy's version. Love both. Love this one even more. Thanks for another added comfort movie.

I have sort of a love/hate relationship (in my mind) with M.Night movies. No matter how much some of his past movies (the Village, Old) has disappointed me, I find myself Having to watch his new releases because of all the movies I love from him (Unbreakable, Signs, the happening, Devil) and Knock at the cabin was no exception. *spoiler ahead * Favorite thing about the movie was David Bautista. Loved his gentle giant persona. Fit him to a T. Couldn't picture him being a evil being, especially not wearing those nicely fitted jeans. (Lol). Had you wondering whether or not these 4 strangers were telling the truth up until the end, even after killing off one another. Although, as another reviewer stated, there was no M.Night signature twist and turns, M.Night does make his signature cameo (lmao). I wouldn't call the film predictable because I thought it was gonna go a complete different direction from daddy Eric dying. Daddy Andrew, in my opinion, absolutely deserved to be the one who died. I couldn't believe he was the one who got to live!

My first time watching and I'm an 80s baby. The scene where Leslie Nelson's character walks through the set and not the door, I damn near died! And that's just one of the many great scenes. Lmao what a Great 80's comedy. Goes to show that the 90's-00's comedy spoof movies copied a lot from the 80's! How seemingly Original. You can tell that even for an over 30 year old movie, this was fresh with comedic ideas! I LOL throughout the whole movie
