A father, mother, and two sons struggle beautifully throughout twenty engrossing episodes as the show raises and sometimes answers many questions. Among the most prominent were:
What would the established church do if God sent a true visionary and prophet?
Are faithful followers always virtuous?
If we truly believe in Christ, what is our role in a multicultural world?
How should the church respond to the homeless, the refugee, and the stranger?
What is the relationship between spirituality and sexuality?
How does God speak to us?
Can family members be both close to one another and also independent?
How does one person forgive another?
Is the traditional church still relevant? Will it survive? As it changes, what is worth keeping, and what should go?
The acting, filming, and music in this series are lovely. The plot is well-constructed; foreshadowing and thematic development make sense. Subtitles are mostly very clear and easy to read. I would watch this series again.
