It was ok. Felt like people over hyped it. The actors were amazing, but the production could've been bigger considering the buzz around the drama. The story line dragged on longer than it should. Nothing really happens until episode 19. The lead characters had NO chemistry. The lead actor was great, but he's just too old to play the role. There's a 20 year age gap between the leads and it was very noticeable throughout the series. They tried immersing themselves into the roles, but the leads never had that spark you would typically find when actors connect. When they acted independently, they were amazing, but their scenes together seemed too forced. There was nothing natural. Don't get me wrong, the lead actors were good, but they just didn't have chemistry. Found myself rooting for the second and third lead guys. Not really sure why people like the actor who plays "Kyle". The guy needs to take some acting lessons. He has the same narcissistic demeanor in every kdrama role he takes on. He talks the same, acts the same, sound the same in every kdrama role. Almost every kdrama that includes foreign characters end up being cringe worthy because those actors are so bad. They are nowhere near the same level as the Korean actors. It just throws the story off. It's better to exclude them altogether. Overall, Mr. Sunshine is just an ok kdrama series. There's nothing about it that I particularly like or would recommend for others to watch.
