Season 1 was downright gripping. The black tie law firm with its thousands of loyal employees, a twisted and maniacle leader behind the wheel. The conspiracy behind a DoD contracted boat blowing up in the ocean with the stench of fowl play and mystery and Billy McBride up against it all with his band of low level heroes. It was an easy 2 day binge (1 if you don't have anything else to do).
Season 2 was still good but you could tell someone told the writers to "take it up a notch" as you see Billy up against a Mexican cartel whose leader does some DIY surgeries on the side. It was still binge worthy for me but you could tell the writers were writing a little too fast and tripping because of it.
Season 3 I can't fully review as I'm only 2 episodes in, but I'm not sure what I'm looking at. Secret Native-American peace pipe rituals amongst an elite group of the "bad guys", an almond empire who is stealing all of the water in an entire County and also drugging people into a different state of mind. Dennis Quaid's character is off the rails and it feels like I'm watching an adult swim show (the kind where the writers are clearly doing meth with the pens taped to their hands). I don't review things usually, but I have to say I think if you really loved the first season, don't expect the same quality going through. I love a good conspiracy and mystery show, but at this point I fully expect season 4 to be Billy representing Batman in a case against the Joker, Doc Oc, and the Easter Bunny.
