The book is a bit slow paced, but you find something new to ponder over at the end of each chapter, so a lot of things fall into place by the end of the book that satisfies me. It is a bit cliché. There is romance in the book (which I fangirled over), but it doesn’t interfere with the plot. There’s also a big plot twist at the end which I enjoy while reading thriller/murder books. The author, Karen McManus, of this book did a great job expressing the plot in the book form the characters’ point of views of the situations happening. I like books that are fast paced, but it’s just my personal preference, so I would rate it 3.8/5 stars.
