I have been toying with eating less animal protein off and on for decades. As as a child of the 70's, there were very few options, not to mention the "norm" was tuna noodle casserole and a honkin' meatloaf (EW! Altho, as an Italian-American, we didn't really eat those things). Cheese, tho I love - does not love me so that's been cut back for quite some time, tho not eliminated. I do eat meat and find it enjoyable in moderation but if I never had any again I wouldn't be upset. I sobbed through all of the information about the farming industry, making my decision to continue on my veggie quest even more vital. I thought this show was extremely informative on so many levels. Now, as a retiree and grandmother, my health is more important than ever in prolonging a healthy life for my grandbabies and my children. I don't want to be a burden on them as my parents were on us. There is so much involved in learning how your body utilizes the food you eat and this was really informative and helpful in understanding the ramifications and benefits of a healthy diet. I loved it!
