It is little secret that 'Marvel haters' had some vested interests in ruining this movie. No wonder, negative reviews had started flowing in even before the film released. I watched the movie today morning in 4dx. Let me share my views on this. First of all, does the movie have flaws? YES, it has. But is it a bad movie? Far from it. The movie starts off slowly and with some really poor Special effects. But it starts building up and by the time you reach the end, you are left rooting for Captain Marvel. I read a review where someone had mentioned that he was unable to understand the depth of Captain Marvel's personal character. Surely, he needs to watch the movie again to understand. While its confusing and explained in flashes, give it some thought and it becomes clear how she goes to become 'Captain Marvel'. The emphasis on this movie has to be towards the introduction of Captain Marvel, her relationship with Nick Fury and why Fury trusts her and messages her of all people at the end of Infinity war. The movie explains it all. Without doubt, she is the most powerful Marvel character to come to screen and Brie Larson does a good job overall. While she is excellent in few scenes, I have to also say that she looked slightly out of depth in few other scenes. The fight scenes, interactions with Fury, Yon-Rogg and Maria Rambeau are the scenes where this Oscar winning actress comes to the fore. Goose the cat is one of the highlight of this movie. All and all, the film has few flaws, but it ends up becoming a soaring tale of self-discovery. Go watch it.
