I wasn't expecting much, but the humor and emotional moments in this film definitely got to me. Especially the scene where Diane Keaton uses the prism to casts rainbows around the room. There are numerous therapies that use lights (and sounds) to interact with patients with various conditions that have shown improvements in quality of life. (One example is Snoezelen therapy with dementia patients, of the top of my head.) I love they weren't so on-the-nose about it either, cause who doesn't like looking at pretty lights.
Anyway, the chemistry between the actors is great. Dicaprio is great at butting heads with Strep and Keaton. You'd think he really was a troubled teen.
