I almost fell asleep at several points. This movie is boring. There is no real acting—everyone basically walked through their parts. The special effects were like something from a 50’s movie—horrible. Shaking the camera to simulate the numerous liftoff scenes was totally ridiculous and elementary and honestly laughable. I’ve never spent so much time in a movie looking at extremely close-ups of the actors faces or blank screens. The director used the “fade to black” effect way too many times. OMG. The only thing that kept me awake was the frustration that I was feeling at how horrible the movie was and the feeling of having to hit the restroom during a 2 hour 20 minute move. Really? At least 45 minutes could have been shaved off of this movie and it wouldn’t have affected it. The way they skipped through years was also annoying. Overall, this movie was more about the study of Armstrong than anything else—and it wasn’t worth that amount of time.
