One word for this film, Brilliant. The concept of showing our motherland India veiled as the mother of Major Vihan (Played Vicky Kaushal) with a disease of forgetful memory (referring to the nature of India as a nation which forgets about such brazen cross border terrorist attacks again and again) touched my soul. The allegory used in other characters (e.g.- Yami Gautam as nurse temporarily loosing Major Vihan's mother and the ensuing search for her, Major Karan Kashyap's watch gifted by Major Vihan, Ishaan as young intern at DRDO, the kid at the terrorist camp etc.) as well is Brilliant.
Directorial is at par with some of the best Hollywood directors though there is so much to learn from them. Stanley Kubrick made such films with much deeper allegorical meanings.
9 / 10. You must go and watch it at a theater.
