I think everyone who gives this show 5 stars is a paid reviewer. It was alright. What drew me in was the Riddley Scott name. The atheism/religious notes are little too on the nose. Is Mother more than a robot? If not, why is she more powerful than the solider model the "Christians" brought with them? It definitely has its interesting moments and the cinematography is gorgeous (the CGI could use a little more work but it's the first episode, I get it). Not worthy of 5 stars, though. Sorry HBO Max, try again.
