The movie Heretic is the worst kind of putrid violence against women and people of faith. It is unimaginative, debasing, misogynistic and needlessly cruel. There is no redeeming ending or humorous charm. The characters are full of darkness in their eyes and heart numbing, soul killing, evil motives.
I will never again what a movie (past, present or future) with Hugh Grant, Scott Beck or Bryan Woods. I am disgusted.

The Big Ideas Math book works well with the new common core curriculum. It's not organized the same as the Math books of yesteryear, but it had lots of good problems to solve that broaden kids critical thinking.
I wish it also summarized the basic equations a little better, but just because it's different does not mean it's worse. In fact I think it's better.
I have 5 kids. The first two went through traditional Math. The last two are going through common core, and I think it's better. I am an electrical engineer and computer scientist, and I like the integrated Math approach.
