Seth Reardon – Google

This review is based on the first two episodes only. Pretty disappointing. I can see that it's probably going somewhere, but these two episodes were not themselves very interesting or enjoyable television. They were decidedly boring and full of filler content that doesn't move the story at all. I get the feeling the writers were going for a slow build up, but it was far too slow. I have no nostalgia for the (50s?) era of American television and it feels like they were heavily relying on that as the stories for both episodes felt like something directly out of that era. (A dinner party and a magic show). Hopefully the larger story that they are telling is interesting, but they largely wasted two entire episodes on corny jokes and a parody of other shows that weren't good to start with. Perhaps Americans will have more nostalgia for this era and that will be enough for them, but for me I could care less. It was exactly as interesting as watching an I love lucy rerun or gilligans island or something equally as trash. I kept waiting for something interesting or meaningful to happen but it never did. At the end I was left with a feeling of largely wasted time, although I find myself wanting to watch more episodes to see if it improves I feel like they could have condensed both these episodes into probably a quarter of the time and got on with whatever the actual story is. Just my two cents. Somehow this has 94% on rotten tomatoes which baffles me, but I was expecting something much better than this.

Didn't like this movie at all and neither did my kids. Not that it didn't have a couple of moments, but I really thought the overall story was boring. It revolves around "forky" who I absolutely hated so it was off to a bad start early and large parts of it are set in an antique store which proved to be both a boring and a creepy setting. Kids were scared by the weird ventriloquist dummies. All my children rated this as the worst toy story movie and I definitely agree with them. The stand out was bo peep as a rough tough independent woman, but woody really needed a much more exciting story and a better supporting cast. Regretted spending the money to go to the movies for this.

An interesting mix of darkness and light, this film was full of Taika Waititi's signature style and humour. While not every joke landed, overall the film worked, but he prepared its definitely more of a comedy than any other marvel movie, even more so than Thor Ragnarok. It would have benefited from being longer and having the side stories fleshed out more and it suffered from being quite predictable. They missed a big opportunity to use the guardians of the Galaxy more, with their role being reduced to only a cameo part and with no impact to the plot. I probably would have left out the profanity which felt too childish and spoiled the tone (I swear, it just didn't really fit here but I can tell it was TWs style.)

This game is trash. It had a clearly talented art and animation team but their skills are completely wasted because of a lacklustre game designer/developer. None of the mechanics are fun in and of themselves, the combat is shallow and feels like a button mashing simulator, and the level quality drastically drops off after the first heavily scripted level ends. The entire game is extremely linear with no decisions to make or alternate paths to take. This feels like someone said "a game should have X Y and Z and then proceeded to follow a formula, but they had no idea what actually makes a game fun to play. Add cosmetics : check Add secrets : check Add combat : check Add levels : check Add cute sidekick : check But none of this adds up to a satisfying gaming experience. Ultimately this is a game with no soul, clearly made by someone who just didn't care. It's evident in all aspects of the game. The level design is particularly shallow, and the levels all feel very "constructed". They don't feel like a place that would exist in real life. There is zero immersion which is a travesty for a star wars game. The combat is a case of "hold block then spam attack". It does not feel fluid and often feels more frustrating than fun. When you beat an enemy it feels more like luck. When they beat you it feels like "oh no, I have to play this again." There might be a story playing out but it's so unengaging and poorly told that you simply don't care about it at all. Don't waste your money.
