I don't mean to be overly harsh, but I will be brutally honest.
Don't waste your time. The cinematography was fine, the writing was
adequate and the acting was acceptable. But the story was weak
and bland. It started with a very interesting premise, and showed
some promise in the first 30 minutes. But after the 40 minute mark,
it turns into a typical horror movie, following typical horror movie tropes.
I went in expecting a neat psychological thriller with lessons in
life, death, forgiveness, fallacy, and philosophy, like Flatliners.
But, what I got was more of a flat-liner than the much better
film with a similar plot, of that name. I got nothing out of it.
It's not thrilling, it's not deep, it's not emotional, and it's not scary.
If you want depth, emotion, and a great story, watch Flatliners (1990).
If you're a horror fan, there are much better options than this one.
Don't watch this one, you will surely be disappointed.
I know I was, and I didn't even go in with high expectations.
