A far cry from Ritchies other work, this slow burner doesn’t need twists and turns to keep you interested. Slow to start and with a few minor, but glaring mistakes, after 30 minutes this film really starts to develop its character arcs, and after 45 is ready to bring a bit of action. The scenery is amazing and reminds me of Gareth’s Edward’s work on Monsters and Star Wars. I’d rather be able to rate it out of 10- which it would be getting somewhere around a mid 7. Great War movie in the vein of American Sniper but with action sequences similar to the cutscenes from Modern Warfare

I love the original trilogy, hated the naughties sequels and have felt indifferent to the most recent films. This kind of changes my opinion on the newer 'skywalker saga' movies. Great story pace, fantastic cast and characters, Chewie being awesome and some of the best acting we've seen in star wars. The plot twist everyone is talking about was mediocre, but the smaller twists and turns makes it more enjoyable. Loved the homage to the old set pieces, and I loved the 'what if' throughout. Answers most questions, but gives us a few more to ponder. All round, a satisfying conclusion. It's not endgame, but at least it's not season 8 of game of thrones

Hesitant, after 10 years absence from our screens, was I to watch zombieland 2. After waiting such a long time for films with no pay-off (looking at you anchorman 2) and some with decent pay off (trainspotting 2), I wasn't sure how this was going to work. The original film was a cult classic, yet the pilot for the TV show flopped in a disastrous manner. However, I've been pleasantly surprised. The action is good, the dialogue and events are witty and the original cast are on point. It was great to see some new faces too, although the sideline romance was unnecessary. The final scenes had everything you want from a horror movie, and the early scenes had all the comedy, although further in it still drums up some laughs. Overall, great film but I do feel like they could have trimmed some of the fat
