Special effects were good for the time. Goofy at times, the movie gave me a sense of what the vampires were when they were human. Felt more of an emotional connection to the characters at times than many other vampire movies. Overall, found it enjoyable. Have watched it a total of three times now. The dubbing doesn't do it any favors. Hope to watch it some other time with subtitles, instead.
