Do not let the bioshock comparisons fool you. This is a bad Amnesia clone with an unfinished story, clunky controls, and bioshock aesthetics. I have never been more bored, and when I wasn't, I was frustrated. Also there is no save mechanic, so have fun. One part was literally impossible to get past and I died so many times that the game just gave up and moved me past it. I wish I was kidding. This game is painfully linear and there is NOTHING to do. The environments are huge and empty! It's a game, you ought to be able to interact with something. Your character doesn't DO anything. You do not contribute to the story and things happen around you. I like historical fiction but there are so many anachronisms (dialogue, art deco, women being accepted as high level physics researchers, recordings from the 30s being played on record players when the game is set in 1897, etc.) that it makes you wonder if the dev team just really liked bioshock and Amnesia and just shoved the two together. Spend your money on literally anything else. Good graphics will not save a game. (And even then sometimes the framerate on the xbox was TERRIBLE and much of the fire and water were animated were like 2002 graphics at best.) The story had SUCH potential and just... ends. The writers set up a lot of cool things, and then it just ended. No explanation. No resolution. No character development. Nothing. Do not buy this game.
