When we saw the run time, 91 minutes (if I recall correctly) seemed short. It was not. It was about 80 minutes of white knuckling. A powerful movie. The camera work was amazing. In a few moments of interaction you could understand and care about the men on this destroyer. The musical score was accompanied by eerie whale song like sounds when showing the U-Boats and this added to the suspense of what was to come. This film was simple and to the point in the story. It's everything that cinema should be. I wish I could have seen this on the big screen.
