Wow, this is late, but still wanna add a few things to this.
First off, what were the characters names? Up to about the last thirty minutes, I didn’t even know their names. I couldn’t relate to any of them and they all just felt boring and flat. The dialogue and acting was bad in a way that was hilarious, and the “deaths” were very anticlimactic in a way. They kind of just dropped Chloe at the end and gave us no real sense of closure.
Second, the pacing. What happened? It started off okay and just dissolved into this ridiculous mess. I couldn’t tell what was going on and who was who. It wanted to try to raise the stakes and all that jazz but like? Were there any stakes in the first place?
Third, the visuals were on literal acid. That’s all I’ll say.
Fourth, there was no payoff. I didn’t come into this expecting much, but I wanted an ending, not just a kind off “they all died so the one alive is saying like a warning.” I feel like the writers were told they would get a longer run time, but at the last second the producers said “Yeah, we’re shortening it to 95 minutes. Just write something to give ‘em a sense that ‘hey, the movie’s over!’ and be done with it.” So the writing crew took their advice to the letter.
That’s all I have that really stood out to me as bad, but read some other reviews to see anything I might’ve missed! Thanks for reading this, and for the love of god, please don’t waste your money on this movie.
