Gene G – Google

I'm a ye fan, not a die hard one though. This album is a mixed bag with some bangers, decent ones and misses. Universal dropping it before ye's approval said a lot as you can tell that some songs could use some finish touch ups or full out removal from the album, like the pt 2 of songs was not necessary at all, the features on those songs could have easily been just been added to the original song. Decent project overall, but polarizing once again, I expect many people to either love it or hate it. Like it as a whole and I expect this album to grow on me as I listen to it more.

Took a couple listens to warm up to it. Bottom 3 of ye's discography. Considering his entire discography are great or all time classics, JIK still very good and am still enjoying it thoroughly. Though ye should have developed each song out more, as length was too short and exploration of themes vague. More story telling and going deeper with the theme would have helped. Hoping JIK part 2 with dr.dres help will be longer, themes and ideas better developed, sound more crisp and even more grandiose.
