The acting is great (series is getting off to a slow, slow, slightly boring start). So far the bad guy, not that bad; just entitled an stupid. I miss the familiar dysfunctional (often humorous) relationships within the police dept; psychotic humor of Dexter's dark passenger; dry wit of Dexter's inner voice; and the thrill of wondering will he or won't he get caught today.
