After reading the books I was disappointed in the movie! Yes I understand you can’t fit the whole book into one film but there was so many pointless scenes that could have been replaced with the crucial scenes you missed out.. tattoo shop? Steph and Tristan scene? They weren’t in the book so what was the need for them? the film lacked character in tessa and Hardin.. jace has more of a role than zed? Tristan is female? The wedding happened way too early? No insight into hardins fathers household and the relationship tessa built with Karen first? She didn’t apply for Vance herself which completely lacks in the first film as she is already an intern there before the wedding and the bet being revealed.. Hardin doesn’t come across as the bad boy he does in the books with a troubled past.. I just feel it could have been made better and within the time with more depth and story from the book.. I’m happy to stick with the books and my imagination. I won’t be watching the next film. I’ve watched films from other books I’ve read that don’t lack that much dialog from the book and still fit into the 2 hour time scale... so it’s not like it can’t be done
