Nostalgia Gaming

I wanted to like this movie, I really did. But it has so much wrong that I can't give it a better rating. (Spoilers) The film has so much potential, but it falls short. I'll give some positives first. I enjoyed almost every fight scene in this film, with excellent choreography that makes every fight feel tight and enjoyable. It also had some funny, enjoyable moments. However, the main plot is lazy, and copies so much from the Winter Soldier, and not as well executed. It wastes Taskmaster as a villian, using him simply to remove guilt from Nat. It's main antagonist is one of the worst in Marvel history, with hardly any screen time. There are so many scenes where the film does not makes sense, such as the fight scene Nat and here sister have. Why are they fighting? No reason. Just wanted another flashy fight scene in the film. I'll give the film some credit, where it does flesh out Nat's backstory pretty well, but that can't save this movie, since this isn't meant to be an origin story. Other character appearances feel half backed and empty, with some characters only existing to lead to other important characters. The plot of this film also feels so forced that it breaks immersion at many points. This movie had so much potential, but it's too little to late.
