I really enjoyed this show. The reason why I gave it four stars was because I wish they would have explored characters and certain themes in more depth. Cramming everything into 10 episodes was cool but some of the scenes felt very rushed. I'm quite an emotional person in general so there were certain scenes that hit hard due to the fact that it hurts to see cruelty against others, but not necessarily because I felt a connection with the characters (apart from the main protagonists, I was really rooting for Akira). Overall I really liked this show. I must add that it's not for everyone, it's one of those shows that you either love, hate or are just meh about it.

I remember years ago encountering this show but being really put off by it. I saw my cousin and my best friend at the time really into it but I just wasn't interested. I was put off by the art style and refused to get into it. However, that all changed one day and I decided to watch it from start to finish. One of the best decisions I've made when it comes to watching shows. I grew to adore the art style, the music, the characters, the plot, the development, the creativity, the unexpected, just everything! It actually helped reduce my anxiety too and it brought me back to a time where my imagination and creativity ran wildly as a child. I am currently rewatching it with my boyfriend and so far he's enjoying this show too!
