Since special effects have advanced and I can't stretch my imagination to a cival war vet being transferred to Mars. Especially with elements from many past si fi movies incorporated into the film. I found it to be uninteresting with a less than perfect script and poor direction. It's certainly no 'Jupiter Rising or Thor Ragonok. .Alongside Blade Runner, I find it hard to put it in the Si Fi genre.
