I would would a 1 and a half if, cause this doesn't deserve two stars, but it wasn't the worst it could be, but damn was it close. Now the thing is, I can't say they didn't read the books and just looked up a synopsis, they have a few scenes where they HAD to read the books to know, but they just went ahead and disregarded most of the books regardless, many different changes to the story and world, commander root being a girl, Holly not being the first female Recon member, Butler not being called butler, Julie and Butler not being siblings but uncle and neice? The list can go on for a while, a lot of questions.I feel like the casting was rather good, with a lot of actors I enjoy, but the characters themselves were not who they were meant to be. The plot if a weird combination of the first two books, with Artemis having a complete different motivation and just seemingly having his moral code reversed. I feel like it went too far from the source material and shows just a bare bones resemblance of the beloved book series.
