It's heartbreaking and enraging at once. Beautiful writing, extremely well sketched characters. Quite a cynical take actually but that's what made the drama so compelling. Anything except a tragedy would have been ridiculous. I guess contempt and compromise in relationships is rarely shown on screen. Revolutionary road is a gem in that sense. Ironic that the lead couple did not find their happily ever after all over again after Titanic. And that for wholly different reasons. :-D
