Considering that it was the first of it's kind, not Avatar, it's pretty good. I find it to be fast moving a lot of the time, but I still enjoy the movie despite some cheesy lines, acting, and maybe some overly fake CGI. I wouldn't compare it too much with the second movie, since that one came out later, and so improvements were of course made with these things. This movie is not perfect, bit it's a five star rating because I think the overall plot and storyline is a unique take on a story such as this based off a very classic novel where elements of the novel become very important, and that is nice to see since I am a book reader and like that element and homage to the novel that inspired the film in the first place. Yes, it's a little cheesy, but it's a good cheesy and fine for families.
