I was really excited to watch his new movie, but 20 min in, I kind of wanted to leave the cinema. I love Nolan, but this one is not on par with the rest of his work. There are lots of other reviews that go in great detail about what was wrong, I can summarise my point of view in a sentence: half of the time is difficult if not impossible to make out what's happening. Of course, I might be a bit thick myself, but I assure you I enjoy greatly the rest of his work. The key concepts are simply never explained, they can not be deducted from the dialogues, and generally, the dialogues are overlayed with really loud sound effects or music, so you just can't hear what they are saying. Think of watching Inception without sound and dialogue. Really gutted about this, I was so looking forward to it.
