This urban legend/creepypasta always scared me to death. Chills ran down my spine just thinking about it. When I found out there was a movie, I was eager to watch it, despite the reviews. Especially considering Lin was in it!! However, many were accurate. It would have been nice to have an origin story or at least a little background on the game and why it was made. You can do research and find out it was used in Pagan culture to punish those who broke the Pagan rules. Would’ve loved to see that tied in somewhere. The grandma stated her mom put her through the game so it would’ve been easy to tie is a story of Pagan ancestors. And with Lin’s acting ability and creepy nature, she had the potential to be much more that was her character turned out to be. There were some plot holes and spots where it seemed time flowed differently and didn’t align with different scenes that took place at the same time. Midnight man had some sass that I liked! Would’ve liked to see more of him and his power. Based on the character’s knowledge of his power, it had the ability to be a psychological horror due to the fact that he played upon the players’ deepest fears. The gore was great, though! The entire movie was creepy, definitely gave me and unsettling vibe the whole time I watched it. Nevertheless, the movie isn’t bad and I enjoyed it! Especially the plot twist at the end!
