I have a hard time picking what I actually love about this album. Is it the unconventional beats with flaring drums and those wacky background sounds or is it's Danny;s delivery every time he changes his vocal inflections, cadence and his flow.
Atrocity Exhibition is a modern masterpiece that does not get it's due credit. It has an incredible concept that wonderfully captured across all 15 tracks and not one track feels empty or unfulfilled as you listen to it. It is a musical experience that keeps driving you until you have reached a point that it has captivated your imagination and not let go.
It has a very unorthodox way of grabbing your attention with the strings on "pneumonia" and the jarring and startling beat it has on "Ain't it funny". It;s use of samples is also really well put together since it is so unconventionally mixed and with Danny's lyrics and wacky delivery put together, this album does not get out of your head even after your initial listen.
It might just be one of the best experimental hip-hop albums of the last decade.
DO check out this album as soon as possible
