Pitt did indeed give a nuanced performance without making it contrived. Cinematography & the effects of being in space were lovely... one scene, where the rovers are driving along a ridge on the moon, is convincingly real. I enjoyed having to think with Maj. McBride. It's a quiet, pensive film, sure to get Oscar nominations.

Snooze fest... so painfully melodramatic I couldn't watch til the end. I usually gave Jesse the Junkie credit for having a moral compass, but choosing to be a part of this clunker makes me question that.
