Joaquin Phoenix was superb but unfortunately I could only watch half an hour of it before feeling utterly disturbed. Far too dark for me I'm afraid. Surprised as I'm quite a hardened film watcher, but this film seems to succeed in going to the darkest recesses of humanity. For me personally, not a comfortable watch.
