The development sucks. Neither Claire nor the kid is set up to have any redeeming qualities or a complex backstory. It’s just boom two regular people with no boundaries or self control. Can’t take it seriously.

The story hook is a decent idea. But jeez as someone in the same age demographic, it’s honestly offensive that the writers really think the only words in our vocabulary are vulgar. Newsflash tv writers: some of us young people want to be represented as intelligent. Mindless angst isn’t the sole point of relatability to our generation. The dialogue is simultaneously trying too hard and not enough. This is why I can’t watch tv anymore, didn’t enjoy this enough to get through the whole season. Please stop writing thinking “ah yes dr*gs s*x and curse words, the kids love this let’s give them more.” Seriously. Amazon, come up with some better tv please.
