A well-crafted, 13-episode love letter to the Original Series, purporting to depict the last two years of the "five year mission." Many ties to the original series, including the son of James "Scotty" Doohan and the daughter of Joanne "Romulan Commander" LInville reprising their parents roles. It's well-written, well-acted and imaginative, and the sets, props and visual effects are top-notch, with the latter done well but making it look like what the 1960s show would have looked like had the artists had 2010s tech available. Get easily past the fact that the "continues" actors don't always look exactly like their 1960s counterparts and let them bring the characters alive again for you. It's amazing. It really is.
