Bob Macabre

Since there is barely any character development I didn't care what happened to any of them. I didn't feel attached to any of the characters at all. The pacing through the first half is very, very slow. It's like they took all of the weird parts from Twin Peaks & strung just those parts together with no rhyme or reason. Yes, visually it's artsy if you like lots of saturated lights & color grading, but the story just isn't interesting and feels forced. Like they were going out of their way to be weird. I wanted to like this movie but just couldn't. That says alot because I usually like weird movies. But with one dimensional characters, stilted dialogue and no good story development, weird just wasn't enough. I'm a special fx artist, so I can say the gore fx were good, but I didn't care about the revenge part because I wasn't invested in the characters enough to even care if revenge was gotten. Overall, I wish I'd spent the evening watching a movie that sucked me in and made me care about what was going on.
