Disregard my first review. In the end he is triumphant. But it is still very painful for black people to watch. As a black woman I almost didn’t get through it.

Amazing! I got so much more than I bargained for. Such a moving masterpiece. And I am forever grateful that Viola Davis and her husband put this together and brought it to life. The strength of black women with dominant supportive husband is being seen more and more every day now. I can’t wait for my grandbaby to see this film. Instead of boycotting what you’ve never seen, amaze yourself; and support black box office, black goddesses, and black excellence. Amen!!
