As a 71 year old man I remember the AIDS epidemic very clearly. I also recall how foreign and impossible the very idea of this pandemic sounded. This mini-series captures that global shock perfectly.

It didn't totally suck. Almost but not totally.

HORRIBLE show. I somehow managed to watch the first 4 episodes in the hopes that it would somehow magically improve but Costner should be ashamed of himself for making this self-indulgent piece of garbage. There is not one single character with a positive personality trait. I sincerely doubt this degree of violence, malice and doom could ever be a part of any rancher's life and it shows me once and for all that no-one is as talented as Kevin Costner thinks he is.
