I was very disappointed with the film . The storyline is weak and the film was too long . What was good was the art direction and the battle scenes in the sea . There are too many subplots that dont make sense and stretches your imagination . The chinese man taken by Marakkar under him doesnt say a word of english or malayalam but still manages to have a intense love affair with the ministers daughter . There are so many such flaws in the storyline . The costumes worn by everyone of that era in kerala were designer sherwanis in silk according to the costume designer ! There is nothing that shows the brilliance of Marakkar as a naval admiral. He does not plan or strategize any attacks . Mohanlal looks tired and is swathed in shawls always that wrap him to make him appear like he is down sick with a fever ! All in all a totally wasted effort from Priyadarshan and It proves that money slone cannot make a good movie !
