Nope. Gross and creepy. I wish I didn’t have to give a star at all to review this dumpster fire.

I’m so bummed it got cancelled. I’ll keep watching the two seasons we did get. Solid comedy with characters you care about.

It’s just not my cup of tea. I have had it on in the background while cooking, and had to turn it off because it is very annoying and not funny to me at all.

This is the only show in the Law & Order franchise that I watch. I like that they let the story unfold over several episodes instead of the typical monster of the week format most procedural dramas do. I hope it has a long run.

This is a drama I look forward to watching. I love that the show centers around a character whose story is never told. The cleaning lady or the FBI informant who was blackmailed into being an informant is a common side character, that most shows kill off like they’re nothing. Their stories, complexities, their humanity are never explored. That makes this show stand out from the run of the mill procedural dramas.

It’s all the fun parts of the late show minus having to sit through the celebrities talking and plugging their upcoming projects. Jimmy is quick on his feet and I enjoy his clever banter with the contestants, his energy keeps the pace of the show lively and nothing but fun.

This show was too good for its own good. Smart writing, incredible production value, stellar performances. I wish it could have had more seasons, but I’m glad the writers were kind enough to not end it on a cliffhanger when the Studio hadn’t confirmed it was or wasn’t getting a third season. Everyone involved in this show (except the people who made the decision to not renew it) should pat themselves on the back for creating something so beautiful. The research, the sets, the costumes, the action sequences…they didn’t cut corners on anything and that’s probably why they couldn’t keep it going. Like I said: too good for its own good. I miss it.

This show was not marketed very well. I never heard of it until I saw it under the “you may also like” tab. It’s a refreshing departure from the typical life and death gore this genre usually uses as a crutch. I like when utopian worlds are revealed to be dystopian and I enjoy seeing the old school hip hop being introduced to the young characters by an AI voiced by Snoop Dogg. Does it have cheesy moments? Yes. Is it better than a lot of the originals Hulu keeps trying to shove down your throat in the suggested viewing? Also, yes. I watched almost the entire first season in one day. I look forward to watching the final two episodes tonight. I hope it gets a second season, but I won’t hold my breath because like I mentioned earlier: Hulu didn’t market the show very well.

Quinta Brunson is a comedy genius and I love everything I have seen that has her in it. Abbott Elementary has a great cast, great writing, and produces genuine laughs. It has a nice balance of wacky personalities and relatable characters. Most current comedies are adequate or entertaining, but Abbott Elementary is in a class of its own (pun not intended, because that would be lazy humor and AE is not lazy humor). I think it has the potential to be one of the defining sitcoms of the decade.

I am currently rewatching it and it still gives me belly laughs. Some parts even have me in tears from laughing too hard. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore. I even love the revival seasons. Writing, acting, narration, editing 5 stars across the board.
