Aside from agreeing with this flurry of poor reviews, I wonder why Val Kilmer wasn’t named on the details screen. It burns me up, to see such a legendary fan favorite overlooked. It’s entirely possible Val didn’t want any credit for such a stinker.

The actors and cinematography and music are all top notch. It’s one of the best period dramas I’ve watched.

I have rewatched this series several times, due in large part to Gillian Anderson’s superb acting and phenomenal writing and a suitable ending to top it off. Very few series are able to accomplish all the above in such a gripping way.

Julianne Moore is the only actress I can imagine playing this character - and a stellar performance it was, backed up by supporting cast of all stars as well.

This was such a joy to watch and Wahlberg absolutely nailed it.

I found it immediately captivating and wish it was a series.

Absolutely has a Tarantino-like pace and quality, magnified by a stellar cast. It was a rare pleasure to have my expectations exceeded!

The three main actresses are incredible! I started to watch it a second time after learning that Merritt Weaver and Toni Collete were starring, and they were outstanding here in their respective roles as detectives. I especially love love love Merritt Weaver after first seeing her on The Walking Dead. The message that this true story tells, that the system is still so terribly broken when it comes to crimes against women, resonates loud and clear-that we can’t keep accepting the mess that it is.

It’s raw and real and spectacular! It gave me chills about the blues, and by the ending I was exhausted as if I had been in the studio with these amazing actors.
