This is my first review I've ever written for a movie. First, only the open minded may get this movie. I'm usually skeptical about star studded casts. But with this movie, everyone casted played their parts just enough as to not overshadow each other. This movie is an absolute stab at society, touching points such as the power of private wealth, the government and the true intentions of politicians, the price of fame, racism, indifference to potential disaster, the discounting of science and mob psychology etc. In some ways, I take risk in saying that only the somewhat intelligent viewer will be able to appreciate the theme of this movie. Leonardo DiCapprio is great, Cate Blanchett is great (and hot) in her role. Jennifer Lawrence is equally great in her role. Heck, everybody was great.
