Too childish to engage older fans to slow to engage younger. This is bloated boring wanna be nostalgia ah la Goonies, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Peter Pan (SM33). Who lets these shows past the test audiences or who is the test audience. It’s maddening how stupid and slow the first two episodes are, can’t imagine watching any further.

I’m not sure who this series was made for but it wasn’t me. It’s not that it’s all female or has some LGBTQ+ tones, that’s all fine by me. It’s just has nothing to do with anything MCU, feels unrecognizable/ unrelatable and forced. Werewolf by night was the same but it was also different and engaging enough to stand on its own merits. Agatha isn’t. The acting is pretty bad, which is disappointing from Katherine and Aubrey. The story is long and boring much like the road they’re on, which is more silly than scary. Also there is far too much singing.

Netflix does it again, getting people to watch absolute garbage through its pumped up rankings. There was nothing redeeming about this dystopian ya hodgepodge.

Boring chopped up story with dull flat uninteresting characters and generally poor acting. The cgi wasn’t particularly good and overall show doesn’t have the esthetics expected of good Star Wars film/ tv.

This show is a winner. It strikes a nice balance for original fans and new ones, and for both young and old. The visuals, acting, and dialogue are overall very well done. It’s not perfect, neither was the cartoon, but it’s certainly not worth the recycled hate from the “critics.”

Not impressed. The characters are paper thin. The show tries to force us to like them despite the fact they’re all pretty terrible, except maybe the youngest brother but everyone always forgets about or ignores him anyway. Flimsy writing requires over and over that main characters make idiotic irrational decisions for no reason other than the plot requires them to so the story can continue. The tone and pace is a mess. The show struggles to decide if it’s supernatural horror/ fantasy or Gilmore Girls and it just crashes along from plot point to plot point with no consequences or fallout unless it needs to so it can lead you by the nose to the next thing planned. Just a weird mess overall.

I don’t understand how when you have great source material to work from the results turn out so poor. The story is filled with fluff seemingly to fill time slots and get the world the live in feels hollow and underdeveloped. The pacing is ploddingly slow despite nearly constant ominous & forbidding music. Characters feel flat, misunderstood and misplayed. The only bright spot was Ruth Wilson’s portrayal of Mrs. Coulter, unfortunately it is not nearly enough to make up for the rest, like Lin Manual-Miranda’s odd acting & accent or James McAvoy’s bipolar acting more fitting to Split than this. Daemons are mishandled, literally & figuratively, and given far too little importance and screen time. It’s just a mess. The most questionable and unforgivable error is the early introduction of other worlds. That should have been a joy for the audience to uncover in a big season finale spectacle! Instead it was foolishly added early so we can have unnecessary backstory.
