Misho is 110% correct. Goes to the flying in the face of laws of physics and math. Absolutely one of the worst movies I have seen in a long time. My God there were so many things wrong with this movie I can't figure out where to start. Even the first launch from Earth. Hardly any G force. Have we figured out how to alter the pull of gravity. Love the little plug for Virgin Atlantic. Every point he has made were ones I would make. Hey how about the oxygen supply on Lima. It was out there for 16 years with out contact. There would not be any food or air left. Yet it only took Pitt 79 days from Mars. Why nuke it? What did that nuke do to Neptune? Why bring Pitt to Moon or Mars if you were not going to send him? A simple recording would have sufficed.
The landing on a dime on Mars. Really you can slow down that fast and no one turned into pancakes. This is same for last landing on Earth also his ship that came back to Earth would have been pretty hot and they just opened the door and welcomed home a guy that killed 3 people. I was pretty much done at moon buggy landing. Worse than the Armageddon jump. My best advice is don't. Just don't.
Scene where a character screams in space we can heat it. Nope sound does not travel like that?
After nuke explodes- ship stays steady. Nope.
I am one of few who thought the play cats was stupid. Not one to fall in line with crowd just because. I thought interstellar was bad, although science was more accurate.
The one thing this does touch is our concern about this planet and obsession with colonization of other planets. What do we create when we get there? Just what we have here. There is no Utopia. Let's fix what we have and stop wasting resources on going to Mars. Is there intelligent life out there? Of course. Will or have we ever crossed paths with aliens? I hope so. The math on the possible number of planets that are habitable is insane. The arrogance of those who think we are alone is incredible.
