I personally enjoyed RE 7 over village. Loved the atmosphere of RE 7 and the effort they put into it. Village had some great parts but it also had some awful parts. I enjoyed the castle and mother Miranda battle but the village and the fish boss battle / heisenburg part was a bore. I especially didn’t like the ending of the story with Ethan. It definitely had resident evil 4 vibes. I love what they did with the merchant as well. The doll house section was creepy but wasn’t very long. They probably could have made it even creepier if they wanted to! I just wish they would have done something different with Ethans story. They went over the top and after we finished the game I felt a little disappointed in the end result.
