Incredibly beautiful book, read it uninterrupted ,and there is not a single lull moment in the book. The battle scenes described so adroitly and vividly,as if one is a witness to the battle.indeed a gobsmacking read. Wonder why Suheldev s name has been airbrushed from history. Loved the quote" Darkness does not win because it is strong,it wins because lamps stop fighting". Clearly and truly depicts the infighting as main cau of our debacle. Also highlights the drawbacks of caste system which oppressed our own people, rather than outsiders oppresing us. Amish has very beautifully differentiated the main strengths and weakness of different religions. Muslims are socially inclusive and theologically intolerant and Hindus are theologically tolerant and liberal but socially intolerant. It's totally relatable to current scenario in our country. Tried to draw similarities between Chanakya and Modi,I felt. My take away message which I could relate is" Finding comfort in the memories of past is wise when future is too despairing to think about". Hands down ,Amish Tripathi is an unputdownable author and a perfectionist.
